Synopsis:

As a granddaughter of chief minister of grand secretariat, Ye Zhenzhen was shoved to empreror to be his wife.

The latter that same evening went straight to rest in the palace of a certain favored imperial concubine.

It’s one of few book I have read yet have no time traveling element in it.

The female lead, Ye Zhenzhen, is a very intelligent girl, who had no intention to enter the palace as she wasn’t interested in women intrigues in harem. Unfortunately, what she didn’t wanted to happen actually happened. She entered the palace as the wife of current emperor, the empress!

Since the female lead didn’t care about the empress title and also wasn’t  interested in gaining favor of the male lead, she has directly kicked him out of bed during their wedding night. The emperor then left in anger, leaving Shenzhen behind.

Of course, Zhenzhen didn’t mind it at all.

On the other hand, what about our emperor, the male lead? At first he didn’t like Zhenzhen nor favor her as he was forced into taking her for his wife. Moreover, he had a hard time dealing with Zhenzhen’s grandfather, whom he considered as an old fox.

Instead, he took liking to  another woman who entered the palace in the same time as Zhezhen and who was later bestowed title of Xianfei.

Henceforth, at the start of story, the two leads weren’t in good terms with each other and even made it a hobby to make the other one miserable. The more miserable was the other one, the better (aren’t their childish behaviour cute?). But as time passed, the childish emperor began to fall in love with Zhezhen. Unfortunately, Zhenzhen not only didn’t reciprocate his feelings but also literally couldn’t stand him in bed!

How would then the childish emperor solve these “little” problems?

The solution involved the young emperor secretly visiting the red light district and asking for advices experienced prostitute….
