How the commission system for TBIC ahead of release chapters works

  1. When you land to our ko-fi page, you’ll have to click on commission button to have commission menu appear.

2. Afterward, a menu will appear and you’ll have to choose a commission type.

1.What is this commission system?

The commission system operates similarly to a Patreon page, where you select a tier based on your preferences. The distinction lies in its structure—it’s not a subscription model but rather a one-time upfront payment. This means you won’t be charged on a monthly basis, and the chapters ahead of release won’t be sent to you every month.

2.Why did I choose this system?

The reason is that I want to translate at my own pace and avoid burnout. Patreon operates on a monthly subscription model, which, in my opinion, forces you to translate a certain number of chapters to fulfill your responsibilities to supporters who have subscribed to your particular tier. With this commission system, I will only offer chapters ahead of release when I have some in stock. For example, if I have extra chapters in a given month, I can offer them to readers; otherwise, there won’t be any commissions. This allows me the flexibility to translate without the continuous pressure of meeting monthly commitments like with Patreon. I hope this explanation clarifies things.

3.How the commission system work?

Currently, I have 3 commission types:

    TBIC: 2 Chapters

Example of how it works:

If the translation is currently on chapter 85, you’ll be entitled to chapters 86 and 87. If it’s on chapter 86, you’ll be entitled to chapters 87 and 88, and so on.

However, please be aware of how far the translation has progressed!

     TBIC: 3 Chapters

Example of how it works:

If the translation is currently on chapter 85, you’ll be entitled to chapters 86, 87 and 88. If it’s on chapter 86, you’ll be entitled to chapters 87, 88, and 89, and so on.

However, please be aware of how far the translation has progressed!

     TBIC: 4 Chapters

Example of how it works:

If the translation is currently on chapter 85, you’ll be entitled to chapters 86, 87, 88 and 89. If it’s on chapter 86, you’ll be entitled to chapters 87, 88, 89 and 90, and so on.

However, please be aware of how far the translation has progressed!

When you choose one of the options above, you’ll be entitled to the number of chapters stated on the commission. However, please note that my progress with the translation is indicated in the description bar.  This is to prevent you from purchasing higher tiers when there aren’t enough chapters available. For instance, if the translation is up to chapter 89, but the site has already reached chapter 87, you might mistakenly buy +4 chapters. Therefore, it’s possible that the commission might be out of date after the release of the new chapter on the website. Please be cautious of this.

All the commissions are one time upfront payment. As a result, you’ll have to pay again in order to read more chapters.

4. How often are commissions updated?

That depends on my progress with the translation. So, there’s no definite answer.

5. How are commissions delivered?

Once you’ve chosen your commission, chapters are accessed through a Google Docs link that I’ll send to your email. The process of commission delivery may take up to 24 hours since it’s all done manually.

6. How are you informed about new commissions?

There are two ways for you to be informed about them:

a) during new chapter releases on this website in the Translator’s Notes section

b) those who have purchased the commissions will receive notifications sent automatically to their emails. You can unsubscribe from the email if you no longer wish to receive notifications
