“Prenatal storybook.” Yu Xiao Yu poked at the man’s chest, “The opportunity for you to show off has arrived.”

An You Jing lay down beside the woman. He stretched his hand and drew her into his arms. Subsequently, An You Jing opened the prenatal educational storybook on his hand, “Is this effective?”

“Maybe? Otherwise, why would your mom give it to me?” Yu Xiao Yu said assuredly, “This morning she even enrolled you into a ‘milk daddy¹ ‘ training class. It just so happens that there will be a trial session tomorrow and she wants us to go together.”

“What?” An You Jing quickly closed the book. He looked at the woman with the perplexed gaze, “What  ‘milk daddy’ training class?” 

 Watching his reaction, Yu Xiao Yu was a little displeased, “What? You look to be very unwilling.”

Seeing that she was about to get angry, An You Jing immediately said: “How can it be? I like it the most. Isn’t it just a training class? Such a trivial matter. We must go~”

Yu Xiao Yu nodded with satisfaction, “Alright. If you want to become a good dad then you’ll have to start from the prenatal education.”

“Yes, miss Yu.” An You Jing dragged the last syllable lengthily as he glared at her. Subsequently, he reopened the book and looked at it, “This one……《Firefly and little star》?

Yu Xiao Yu was nestled in his arms. She raised her head to wink at him,” Whatever daddy says is good.”

An You Jing took a deep breath. He lifted up the prenatal educational book and started to read from it straight away, “There is a small star sparkling at the side of a white cloud, the small brook on the ground…”

“Wait a second.” Yu Xiao Yu frowned upon hearing his words, “President An, you’re currently reading a prenatal educational book, not a broadcast. You don’t need to be so formal.” 

 “How do you want it then?” An You Jing handed her the book, “Show me.”

Yu Xiao Yu thereupon took out the phone and searched for the prenatal education app she had downloaded before. Soon after, a child’s delicate and babyish voice could be heard.

After the record finished, she put away the phone, “Did you see? You need to be like him, carrying emotions.”

An You Jing snatched her phone, “We have a phone, don’t we? Isn’t it better to play the record?”

“How can it be the same? A phone is a phone. You’re the baby’s dad. Only this way, you’ll be able to enhance the baby’s feeling with you.” Yu Xiao Yu looked at him angrily, “No wonder mom wanted to enroll you into a training class. In the past, dad must have been like you…..”

“Alright. I will read it again…” An You Jing immediately interrupted her, “Don’t I just have to speak wonderfully with a silver voice and deep feeling?”

After the man finished speaking, he picked up the prenatal educational book again. He pinched his throat. The original deep voice of his became a little bit sharp. That cute tone from the record when replaced by his own voice sounded extraordinary comical.

Yu Xiao Yu couldn’t stifle her chuckle and broke into laughter.

The man, looking at the woman that laughed like a spray that shook disorderly, immediately stopped what he was doing. He turned his back to the woman and used a cold voice to tell her: “I’m not reading anymore!”

“President An….” Yu Xiao Yu instantly hugged him from behind, “I’m sorry. I won’t laugh anymore. Don’t be angry…”

 “I won’t laugh at you anymore…”

The woman’s soft body was like a boneless vine that twined around his back. An You Jing felt his abdomen tighten. Plastering onto him at such time was truly torture.

An You Jing turned his body back. He stretched his slender fingertip to stroke the woman’s snow like skin. Afterward, he held her face and traced kisses from her forehead to the spot between her eyebrows, and finally, her lips, lingering on them for a long while.

The man’s warm lips slowly outlined the shape of her lips. Subsequently, the tip of his tongue made way into her mouth, frantically roaming between her lips.

Yu Xiao Yu noticed his reaction and immediately pushed him away, “We can’t.”

An You Jing watched her with bloodshot eyes. He took a deep breath and told her through gritted teeth: “Yu Xiao Yu, stay away from me in the future!! Don’t you ever provoke me.”

“I will leave at once. You must hold it.” Yu Xiao Yu nodded her head like garlic that was being beaten. She moved her body to increase distance with him, “Go to take shower. Quickly!”

An You Jing irately got up and rushed to the bathroom.

On the early morning of the second day, Cheng Xiu Ming, taking along the servants, dragged the husband and wife to buy baby products.

The group of people entered the maternity and infant utensils supermarket. An You Jing woodenly followed behind their back. He has finally experienced what it was like to go shopping with women.

After Cheng Xiu Ming bought a bunch of baby products, she urged the two to go to the hospital and attend the trial session. 

“You Jing, you must study hard today. Don’t be like your dad, thinking that raising a child is an easy feat.” She exhorted over and over again. “I have even given birth to three of them. Yet, he didn’t even bit…”

“Understood, madam Cheng. How many times have you already spoke of this?” An You Jing interrupted her with a deep voice, “I’m not An Zheng Bin.”

“If you know, then be more filial to me next time. Don’t……..”

“Keep saying that and I won’t go to the class. ” An You Jing interrupted her again. 

 Cheng Xiu Ming glared at him a few times before driving away with servants.

An You Jing drove the car to the hospital. After getting off the car, the two went straight to the sixth floor to inquire the front desk.

“Mr. and Mrs. An? The front desk clerk smiled and checked the information with the two, ”The afternoon trial session is just beginning. You came right at the time.”

An You Jing looked at the side and saw that the room behind the glass wall was packed with people. He pointed at the side and asked the clerk: “What stuffs are taught at the trial session?”

The front desk clerk smiled, “Mr. An will know after going in and listen to one lesson.”    

Yu Xiao Yu thanked the clerk. Afterward, she pulled the man and opened the glass door.

The room was very spacious. There were at least ten couples present.

There was a tablecloth in the room, as well as various baby-related props. The teacher was an experienced maternity nurse.

As soon as the nurse saw the two, she stepped forward and handed over the apron and fake belly props to An You Jing, “I’ll have to trouble mister to tie this around your waistline and then put on the apron.”

An You Jing took the props and touched them. The silicone component was quite heavy.

“What’s there to touch?” Yu Xiao Yu immediately helped the man to wrap the thing around his waist, “Everyone is going to start.”

An You Jing looked down at his middle section. In an instant, the abs he could originally show off turned into a big belly. Slightly sullen, he said, “What do they want to do?”

“To experience a little the hardship of your wife’s pregnancy.” The nurse explained with a smile. Afterward, she turned to the men sitting and waiting behind her and said, “Our trial session today include contents like how to correctly hold a baby, prepare baby formula, feed the milk, as well as bathe the baby and changing diaper.”

“After covering these, dads will have to experience the pain moms go through during the labor.”

The men in the hall immediately exclaimed, “We have to experience even this?”

The nurse nodded, “This is the most crucial part of our lesson so that daddies could understand how difficult is the childbirth. I hope that after this, you will cherish even more your wives.”

The men began to whisper to each other. Yu Xiao Yu pointed to a seat in the row and told An You Jing:” Go sit there. I will sit at the side and watch you.”

“It quite resembles the real thing. It’s heavy, too.” An You Jing stroked his belly and then turned to go over and sit down.

The man stood tall with a straight back. He was taller than other people. When he went to sit amid them, he appeared particularly towering.

There was a table arranged in front of each man. On top of them were placed the fake baby and other props so that “milk daddies” could learn how to take care of a baby.

After the preparation, the nurse began with today’s lecture which content mainly explained how to hold a newborn baby, feeding and implementation of complementary food, as well as the judgment and treatment of some infants’ illnesses.

The lecture part wasn’t long. The main focus was to put this knowledge into the practice. The practical content wasn’t difficult to these men. Once they were all the way through, everyone accomplished their tasks pretty well. Just, when they were doing the baby bath simulation, most of them ended up drenched with water.

During the break, Yu Xiao Yu wiped the sweat for the man and asked him: “What are your current feelings?”

An You Jing untied the fake belly that had been wrapped around his waist. Following after, he stroked his somewhat sore waist and hips and looked at the woman very seriously, “I’m still thinking about  why I had to abandon my work to do this?”

“After you give birth, you’ll have the postnatal care center and aunts. Tell me, Yu Qiu Yu, why do I have to come and learn these?”

His expression was stiff and his voice was full of helplessness.

“Hasn’t the nurse said just now?” Yu Xiao Yu sat down next to him, “The main purpose of this lesson is to let you experience the pain of childbirth so that you will cherish me.”

An You Jing looked at her with a puzzled gaze, “Do you think I cherish you now or not?”

Yu Xiao Yu snorted and cast him a side glance, “Of course you do cherish me now. But what about the future?”

“Have you heard of seven-year-itch²?” She asked him. 

An You Jing narrowed his eyes, “What are these nonsenses? Didn’t I tell you men of An household don’t divorce? What are you thinking all day long?!” 

Yu Xiao Yu held her arms and looked at man grudgingly, “Not divorce. Can marriage without feelings still be considered as marriage?”

An You Jing wanted to explain. However, the nurse called everyone to go to the next classroom to experience childbirth.

“I’ll lecture you when I come back.” He rose up and followed everyone to the next door. 

 Five delivery beds were arranged inside the classroom. Next to them were placed medical equipment.

After seeing everyone enter inside, the nurse passed the paper in her hands to everyone, “Please take a closer look at the pain scale above and then choose your pain threshold.”

“Once you choose the pain threshold, we generally don’t pause during the experience.” 

An You Jing glanced at the content of the paper. The pain scale ranged from one to twelve points. He looked at the scale and ultimately chose six.

“President An, you chose such a low number?” Yu Xiao Yu watched him tick the paper and said, “Everyone else chose more than eight points. How can you fall behind?”

An You Jing took a look at his left side. The man beside him directly chose twelve points. The pain level of twelve wrote: To live is no better than to die.

He laughed and gave the man a thumbs up, “Buddy, you’re awesome.”

The man laughed, “The nurses here like to make a fuss over a minor issue. What to live is no better than to die? It’s all a bluff.”

The man’s wife sat down beside him with an amiable expression while stroking her slightly swollen belly. She smiled coldly, “Yeah. I also think they’re lying in the hospital. Isn’t this why I pulled you here to experience it a little?”

Yu Xiao Yu took the paper from An You Jing’s hands and reselected the number on the upper scale. She turned her head to tell him, “President An, I picked nine points for you.”

An You Jing looked at the choice of other people and consented with the woman’s doing.

After everyone handed over the paper, the nurse organized them. An You Jing and the man who chose twelve points lay on the delivery bed at the same time.

Yu Xiao Yu looked at the man. He carried a stoic expression. He didn’t sense the upcoming pain.

In the real world, though Yu Xiao Yu had no child, she had waited outside of the delivery room once. At that time, the scene of the woman’s miserable shriek left a deep impression on her. She had vowed then not to marry. Thus, even after thirty, she was still a lone dog³. 

Of course, she won’t deny that the other reason was that she was unable to find a boyfriend. 

“Take a deep breath. We’re going to start the equipment.” After everyone made preparations, the nurse again reminded the people on the delivery beds.

An You Jing watched the nurse starting the bedside equipment. Instantly, he felt like his abdomen was stung by a bug. As the nurse commented on pain level elevation, his forehead slowly began to ooze sweat. The pain in his abdomen, which firstly felt like being prickled by a pen point to being hit by palm, gradually transformed into stomach indisposition pain.

At this time, someone abruptly asked: “What’s the level now?”

The nurse, seeing him drenched in sweat, laughed: “Sir, you’ve chosen nine points. Now it’s only six points.”

An You Jing’s eyes suddenly widened. He looked at the woman standing in front of him. She turned to watch him with a face beaming with smiles. 

He has fallen for that woman’s trap!

Before he could glare at her, An You Jing felt the abdominal pain increase yet again. It was as if someone was forcibly holding onto a club and continuously hit his abdomen with it. Soon after, he has heard again someone for calling them to stop.

He gasped a big mouthful of air and watched how the man next to his bed was supported down by his wife.

The woman quietly walked over to him and said softly to him: “President An, you’re the president of a corporation. You can’t lose to these people, can’t you?”

She gently patted the man’s shoulder and comforted him: “It’s already seven points. Bear a little more and it’ll be nine points. Cheer up.”

The pain in the abdomen continued. An You Jing’s breathing quickened. He shot a glance at the woman beside him and said through gritted teeth: “Malicious….”

Before he could finish, he felt his mind being swallowed by dizziness. His abdomen felt like it had its nerves pricked open. A burst of spasmodic pain spread through his whole body. 

“The nine points has finished. Please, everyone, get up from the bed.”

An You Jing’s lips trembled. His mind was blank. Even after he was helped down from the delivery bed by the woman, he didn’t give any reaction.

There were still people on the delivery beds proceeding with the task. Anguished cries could be heard resonating through the room. 

 “I’m done with this…… I’m done with this……”

“We aren’t going to give birth to this baby….”

“Sir, the pain level now is ten points, you’ve still got two more to go…..” The nurse explained, “When your wife is giving birth, she also can’t choose to say no~”

“Hence, bear a little more. If you truly cannot bear anymore, we will stop it for you…” 

“Stop….. Stop….. People are gonna die…..”

An You Jing cast a glance at the man. He was the one who has just confidently chose twelve points.

His face was dripping with sweat and his body was shaking as if he was going to die from the pain.

An You Jing’s scalp felt numb. His body shook as he got up. He looked at Yu Xiao Yu, “You and Mrs. Chen had it already planned in advance before calling me over, haven’t you?”

Yu Xiao Yu supported the man as she chuckled, “It wasn’t me who told you to participate. It’s your mom who wants you to experience it a little and then be filial to her.”

An You King’s expression was gloomy and unfathomable. He dropped down his eyelids and cast a glance at the woman’s abdomen. Following after, he took her into his arms and embraced her tightly.

The man’s arms exerted a force as if wanting to embed her into his body. Yet, he remained silent.

“We’re going back…..” Afterward, he let go of her and left the classroom with big strides. 

Yu Xiao Yu caught up with him. She laughed as she walked, “President An, there’s still a summary….”

“Not listening…..”

An You Jing left the classroom without looking back. As he walked on the road, he still could feel the pain from just now.

The two arrived home at night. An You Jing now and then stroked his belly. He still shivered as he walked.

When Chen Xiu Min saw An You Jing’s awkward movements, she was a little baffled. He only went to learn about how to raise a child. How come he came back in such a bad state?

She turned to ask Yu Xiao Yu: “What’s up with An Yiu Jing?”
