Good Morning Miss Undercover Chapter 11

Two minutes later, both me and Dongzi, two pitiful people, were downstairs in the club. Two pairs of eyes watched in melancholy the raining sky and departing luxurious cars that freely drove away, one by one. We have very tacitly immersed into silence. Nowadays, the wealthy wants an absolute privacy, convenient for them to engage in secret affairs, men robbing and women soliciting1. Therefore, there was no taxi available in the vicinity of the club.

I and Dongzi stared at each other. A cold breeze blew by, our shoulders couldn’t refrain from shaking.

Dongzi’s small body shuddered. He smiled at me with a mischief, “Senior sister, how about carjacking?”

I rubbed my shoulders, my lips were trembling, ”Good idea. We can let them send us straight to the bureau after robbing them. Didn’t old Tan say that we should frequently visit him?”

Dongzi looked at Porsche sport car in the front. Pretending to be mysterious, he said, “What if these cars, equipped with some kind of missile system, exploded and send us directly to the bureau? What do we do then?”

I glared at him, “Brat, you have watched too much of 007 movies.”

Dongzi scratched his head and spouted a nonsense, “You’re right. We are a harmonious developing country. Everywhere are only good citizens. There ain’t any pirates nor terrorists. If Bond was going to immigrate to our place, hehe, he will be unemployed and forced to sell roasted sweet potato. Tsk. Tsk. He will make this business flourish.”

“Aidong, if you don’t shut up your damn mouth, I’ll turn from a good citizen to a murderer. Do you believe it or not?”

“I believe, I believe. If I was going to die beneath gorgeous senior sister’s knife, I will still be charming as a ghost.”

“Shut up. Shut up. My headache is killing me.”

Thousand upon thousand of raindrops was falling down. This spring rain was endless, from time to time accompanied by thunder and lighting. There was no hint that it will be stopping soon. I and Dongzi continued to be lost in thoughts, standing there for another half a minute, waiting for a non-existent taxi to appear.

“What to do? We are unable to return to the city.” Dongzi started to panic.

I was so cold I was shaking, feeling unwell to the extreme. I clenched my teeth and said, “Let’s wait for a while. Maybe some car will appear. If not, we’ll stop one and directly force ourselves in.”

Dongzi sneaked a peek at me, stammering, “Senior sister, that Kang guy seems to be a kind person. What about to let him give us……give us a lift?”

He shouldn’t have mentioned Kang Zi Xian. Once he mentioned him, I was fuming with anger that had no place to vent. I angrily said, “You moron. Do you want to collude together with snakes and rats?2 Do you know how much abuse I had to suffer from him, in order to find you? I’m about to explode with rage, yet you are still mentioning him.”

“B-but, he seemed to be interested in you.”

“Are you a damn woman?! Do you think it’s a play where a sparrow transforms into a phoenix3? Do you think that a well-bred scum will take fancy to a nightclub hostess? Don’t be joking. I should thank merciful Buddha that he didn’t wreak havoc on my life.”

“It’s not easy for a woman to be as crude as you.” A devilish resonant voice that was ridiculing me, spoke up from behind my back.

It was him again.

I gritted my teeth. Turning my back, I coldly looked at him, “Mister Kang, if you disapprove of me, you can pretend you haven’t seen me. It will be better for both of us. Thank you.”

Standing a meter away from us, Kang Zi Xian smiled faintly, ”I’m afraid it will be hard. Miss Fang is a very interesting creature. Aren’t you aware of it?” He was using other ways to call me a clown. I turned my head to not look at him. At this time, Dongzi quietly looked over and whispered to my ear, “Senior sister, I was right, wasn’t I? He likes you.”

“Pah! Pah! Pah! Don’t curse me.”

Currently, my mood was so horrible that I didn’t feel like talking about romances. Besides, my type was man like Fu Chen who was gentle and refined. Just one glance at his smile would calm my anxious heart, making me feel a sense of security. Fu Chen absolutely wouldn’t be as annoying as this man, maddening me with his words till I wanted to bang my head against the wall. These two days, a violent fire was burning inside my heart. My temper was so bad it resembled a dynamite barrel, and this man was holding a match in his hand. It was evident he intended to ignite me to make me self-immolate. I would be stupid to let him. I still wanted to live for a few more years.

In the evening, the mountain looked desolate, inciting ghosts to wander around. When the sound of raindrops joined, it made people feel agitated. Kang Zi Xian walked over to me, glanced at the vast raining sky and said, “Let’s go. I’ll send you back.”

Dongzi was overjoyed and said, “Thank you, mister Kang.”

The doorman had already driven Kang Zi Xian’s car over here. While giving him a bow, he handed him the car keys. Dongzi pulled at me, indicating to me that “a wise man knows better than to fight when the odds are against him”. Since the other person was so benevolent to them as he has humbled himself to provide them with a ladder to step down4. It was actually the best outcome for everyone.

However, Dongzi didn’t understand well my stubbornness. I couldn’t bear people’s almsgiving at all. I won’t  even appreciate it. If people truly pissed me off, I’d get back at them even if I felt unwell. Physical discomfort meant nothing compared to mental discomfort. If I don’t make a scene today, I will fail to live up my great and long-lasting title of a “shrew”.

Tonight, this Kang Zi Xian repeatedly challenged my high-voltage mental power line. Earlier, I have suppressed my hot temper and forced myself to be all smiles for Dongzi, but since Dongzi is alright now, I could at last part ways with him.

Kang Zi Xian calmly got into the car. Dongzi pulled at me. He awkwardly said in front of Kang Zi Xian, “Da…darling, let’s go.”

I leaned against the round shaped pillar, turned head aside and raised my chin, “Go if you want. I’ll walk myself home.”

Dongzi grew anxious. He shot a glance at Kang Zi Xian who expressionlessly sat inside the car, “Let’s go. Don’t tell me you’re going to return by bus line number 11? D…..darling, it’s so late, a beauty like you will be most likely molested. I’m worried. We better quickly go.”

“What’s there to worry? When I expose my thigh, we won’t be short of cars that will take us back.”

Dongzi stomped off anxiously. He moved closer to me and pleaded softly, “Senior sister, don’t. Let’s go back first and talk later.”

I peered at him. Giving Dongzi a coquettish smile, I softly spoke, “Darling, one prefers death over humiliation. I was mocked so many times for you tonight. We have to have the backbone even though we’re poor as to not let those hypocrites laugh at us.”

After I finished talking, I raised my eyes, looking provocatively at Kang Zi Xian. My heart finally felt better.

Dongzi was still too tender5, after all. Seeing me daring to mock and ridicule Kang Zi Xian in his presence, Dongzi seemed to panic. He kept on looking back and forth at both me and Kang Zi Xian who was sitting inside the car.

Kang Zi Xian appeared to be unpleased. The doorman, who was enjoying the scene until now, watched Kang Zi Xian gracefully step out of the car. Kang Zi Xian strode toward me and Dongzi with a cold expression on his face. Turning to panic-stricken Dongzi, he said, “Get into the car first.”

Dongzi carefully gave me a glance, then made two “oh, oh” sounds and entered the car, monitoring the two of us from inside.

Kang Zi Xian’s eyes were pitch-black. They were shining so brightly that it was frightening. But I, Fang Liang Liang, wasn’t afraid. When he looked at me, I reciprocated him that look. We were engaged in a silent confrontation.

Even though angry, Kang Zi Xian still managed to put on a biting cold smile. He slowly said, “Fang Liang Liang, you’re a shrew. Did you took into consideration the cost of this disgrace?”

I snorted coldly, not beating around the bush, “What cost is there? Kang guy, let me tell you, I’m disgracing no one. I, Fang Liang Liang, am fighting for my pride! Someone like you won’t understand my moral principles.”

Kang Zi Xian slightly lowered his head to face me. To outsiders, who didn’t understand the situation, we looked like intimate lovers. My head instinctively moved backward. Unfortunately, the back of my head hit the cold pillar.

We were standing very close.

He was so close that I could clearly feel his warm breath and his subtle fragrance. The handsome face of his, which could cause people to commit crimes, has instantly enlarged in front of me. I subconsciously held my breath.

Somehow, the situation has changed and I have apparently become the party that was being threatened.

He said, “Fang Liang Liang, acting like a shrew certainly has its cost. The cost is I’m getting more and more……charmed by you. But given your identity and occupation, I’ll contemplate if you’re playing hard to get game with me.”

His eyes were deep, “It seems you are experienced in this field.”

I widened my eyes in disbelief. I said, “Hey!” Yet, he has already stretched his hand and held up my chin, smiling devilishly and arrogant, “Shh! Listen to me first…….Can I assume that the reason why you refuse to get into the car is that you were waiting for me to get to you and be affectionate with you in front of everyone, just like right now? Huh?”

The gestures of this man were already enough to disarray my hormones and make my brain go nuts. My chest was rising and falling with my anger. My hands were tightly clenched.

I have never in my life experienced so much anger.

Yet, Kang Zi Xian laughed. I have never seen a man laugh as hatefully as him. He raised his eyebrow and said, “What? Are you angry? I advise you not to be. Look at your face. You seem like a little grumpy kitten, making people want to tease you. Did you realize it?”

“You…..have guts!” I gritted my teeth. He agitated me till I had a splitting headache. But I couldn’t admit defeat.

I leaned close to him and stared at this man while baring my fangs and claws, “Kang guy, a cornered dog will jump over the wall6. Be careful or else this kitten will bite you.”

The corners of his mouth lifted, “The more dangerous one thing is the more challenging, right?”

“Be damn careful to not get rabies,” I yelled.

“Instead of me, I think that you should be more worried about yourself.” His black pupils seemed to vaguely reflect a swirling maelstrom.

Suddenly, a terrible thought went through my head: It se…..seemed like I was in trouble.

While an alarm was loudly ringing inside my head, Kang Zi Xian lowered his body and rubbed his lips against my ear, telling me in gentle yet threatening tone,”If you don’t want to get into the car and want to play games instead, I can accompany you. What do you say? I can make a call to Martin and have him pick up your little boyfriend. It is said that he has more than one private club, but…”  The hot breath he sprayed into my ear felt soft and itchy, “It’s already so late. I want to go home and sleep. Hence, I won’t be able to help you anymore.”

After hearing him out, I felt blood draining from my body. Compared to this handsome yet wicked man, even the bleak and chilly evening breeze became light and gentle.

The world changes, the people’s hearts are unfathomable.

Everything was silently suggesting me: Fang Liang Liang, you have failed to protect your pride. If you continue to quarrel with this evil man, you will even lose your briefs7. According to the Thirty-Six Stratagems, if everything else fails, retreat. It would be for the best to get away from him as far as possible.

Even though I have lost my face, I still energetically cleared my throat, held my head high and stuck my chest out, “Let’s go.”

Afterward, I swaggered towards the car without looking at him. I opened the door and sat beside Dongzi.

Dongzi has been anxiously waiting. Seeing me getting in, he was just about to say, “Dar……”

I waved my hand while pulling a long face, “From now on, shut up. If you open your mouth, I’ll strangle you.”

Dongzi shrank cowardly. He was tactful enough to listen to my words. When Kang Zi Xian sat in, I turned my face to look into the night. Inwardly, I have been cutting him into the pieces over and over again.

But even so, I still felt angry.

I fell asleep in the car. When I woke up, I found myself being covered by a black suit. It had a faint fragrance. Its scent was subtly lingering around. Dongzi, who saw me staring at the suit in a daze, didn’t dare to speak. He pouted his lips toward Kang Zi Xian, indicating that it was his.

I sat up and threw aside the garment. Seeing that we have already reached the bustling city, I coldly said, “Stop over there. We will call the taxi.”

Kang Zi Xian said nothing. He slowly stopped the car. Once it stopped, I impatiently opened the door to get out. Without saying a word, I walked away with Dongzi.

Behind me, Dongzi was waving at Kang Zi Xian and thanking him for the ride. While trying to keep up with my pace, he tripped over a stepping stone. By the time he got up to look for me, I have already hailed a taxi and was on my way back home.

That same evening, I got a high fever. My head hurt and the whole body felt weak. I fell into the endless deep sleep.

I was like this from the time I was a child. I wasn’t easy to fall sick, but once I did, it lasted for 10 days to half a month. After the recovery, I would lose half of my weight.

When sick, I don’t have any major symptoms. I don’t make any fuss. I just sleep throughout the whole day, oblivious to everything happening around me, sleeping as if until the end of time. I made the calculation. The last time I was seriously ill was five years ago. As a result, my sickness was more aggressive this time. But I was optimistic as I flaunted myself for being an invincible female King Kong. So, I was at ease and let sleep to fix me.
