When Mo Li saw the leopard awaken, she was still a little bit intimidated.
After all, it was a ferocious and carnivorous wild animal. Its sharp claws and teeth were a clear indication of its dangerous nature.
Luoxi pulled on the vines and spoke to the leopard about their situation regardless of whether it understood her or not. She used the mixture of carrot and stick approach when chattering with him.
Li Mo who was listening to them at the side blushed with shame.
Just recently, Luoxi had the intention to eat it, but now she has become its savior. She even instructed the leopard to obediently wait for rescue or else she would continue to knock it out.

This anthropomorphic gaze and intelligence made Li Mo remember the nurse shark and she wondered if it was because of Luoxi’s peculiar constitution. Her natural affinity with animals was truly remarkable.
Luoxi dragged the two people and one leopard, swimming towards the south where the impact of the tsunami was less severe and there was an island present.
The leopard shifted, indicating to Luoxi to let it go as it was capable of swimming on its own, lightening her load.
In the end, Luoxi didn’t understand its hints at all. She narrowed her eyes and grinned: “If you keep struggling, I’ll knock you out.”
The leopard was angry. But when it saw her handling a butcher’s cleaver easily1 in the sea without much effort, it gave up. It leaned over the trunk lifelessly and floated on the sea in a tied-up state.
After an hour of drifting, an island appeared in front of them.
Xie Ze shouted in excitement, “Land, it’s a land!”
He woke up during the middle of their journey. Xie Ze felt both grateful and ashamed to see that it was Luoxi and Li Mo, two girls, who had saved him. Despite being a grown man, he was not as helpful as the two girls.
Xie Ze was aware of his swimming abilities, so when he woke up, he didn’t let his self-esteem get in the way and cause any problems. He leaned against the tree trunk and trod water. Luoxi had been dragging them and swimming for over an hour.
He went from initial embarrassment to worry and then to complete shock.
Luoxi has been dragging them while swimming for over an hour, yet she still appeared to be just as energetic and full of life as before. She showed no signs of fatigue, indicating that she had likely trained for long-distance swimming before.
Xie Ze was firmly convinced. With such capability, if Luoxi practiced properly, she could be a candidate for a gold medal in the Olympics. Li Mo thought to herself that the leopard was surprisingly clever. It had already made it to the shore, yet instead of attacking them, it had left on its own. Li Mo had concerns about the leopard’s behavior, but with the sky quickly darkening, she had no time to dwell on it.

When the voice realized that Luoxi was ignoring it, its low, anxious sobbing turned into loud crying. The only thing missing was trying to make a scene and act shamelessly.
Luoxi’s face took a ghastly expression. She knew that fellow was no longer willing to compromise. Maybe he couldn’t wait anymore. He seemed to have either the fish die or the net splits3 sort of mentality.
“Stay here. I’ll go to find Mo Nan and others.” At the end of her patience, Luoxi got up and headed toward the sea. She was determined to find Mo Nan and the others and to put an end to the sobbing trouble.
“It’s getting dark…..it’s very dangerous. You, pay attention to your safety.”
Li Mo and Xie Ze were deeply worried and didn’t want her to go as it was too hard to find people in the vast sea all alone. However, they were unable to say such things. They were safe for now, but they still didn’t know whether Mo Nan and the party were alive or not. Luoxi may not be able to find them, but what if……
Luoxi nodded. Suddenly, she reached out and grabbed the golden ball that was flying beside her. She passed it to Li Mo, “Turn it off.”
Although Li Mo didn’t understand why she wanted to do so, she still took it and pressed the power switch. However, nothing happened.
“It’s not working. It seems to be broken and won’t turn off. Let it fly, the MAX company won’t care if something happens to it.”
Luoxi remained silent. She located a hole in the rocky beach and threw the golden ball inside. She then covered the hole with a rock, sealing it tightly. The golden ball flew within the small, narrow hole and collided with its walls, producing banging sounds.

Li Mo pushed him a little and handed him a branch, “Don’t cause trouble. Luoxi will go find people. Be mindful of your safety and don’t overexert yourself. We’ll make an SOS sign. As the two of them were listening intently, the voice suddenly stopped. The only sound that echoed in the air was the noise of waves hitting the shore. The singing voice from earlier seemed like a figment of their imagination.
“We must have heard wrong, right… Maybe it was the sound of the wind blowing over the rocks. The wind is strong today. Sometimes you’ll experience such a phenomenon,” Li Mo said casually.
Xie Ze was disappointed, “Oh. I thought that I could meet a mermaid.”
According to legend, when storms hit, mermaids would emerge from the sea and make the sailing ships run out of control with their beautiful singing voices. If they took a liking to a particular sailor, they would drag them into the water and drown them.
Li Mo gazed at him in disbelief: “I never realized your inner self was so princess-like.”
Xie Ze chuckled mischievously, “Why? Can’t a man enjoy these kinds of things? You are discriminating men.”
Li Mo rolled her eyes. The two drew an SOS sign while chatting with each other.
On the other side of the islet not far from them, the leopard shook its ears. Its round head was gazing towards the southern part of the sea.
It narrowed its eyes and listened to the faint sound that had traveled to it through the air, seeming to enjoy it a little. Compared to ordinary humans, the leopard had much better hearing.
Once the singing voice faded, the leopard flicked its tail. A contemplation flashed through those almond eyes.
Oh, this voice…..sounds familiar.
